Chennai: According to a survey by a Chennai-based obesity clinic in the city, people of Chennai have now turned to healthier lifestyles thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The survey found that not only the people of Chennai but also some other parts of the country have tried to make a radical switch to a much healthier diet and have focused on their health management.
That being said, the survey found that 80% of people have started to focus on building their immunity – especially given the coronavirus pandemic situation. According to a report in the Times of India, 35% of people have made consistent efforts to eat healthily while another 34% have made time for yoga or other physical activities.
The survey was conducted among people between the ages of 22 and 65. The respondents indicated that they were particularly concerned with hygiene and safety standards. Some of them also said they would want to seek professional help as they feel it would be better than experimenting on their own.
44,489 cases of coronavirus were recorded in India on v. 26, of which 1,464 cases were reported from Tamil Nadu. While the total number of daily coronavirus cases in India has decreased in the past 1 months, some states are struggling to contain the spread of the fast-spreading virus.
