With a hybrid fitness studio concept that integrates functional group training alongside the existing 24-hour fitness studio model, the Australian fitness studio franchise company Stepz Fitness is implementing its expansion plans with a new location in NSW in Delroy Park which opened yesterday.
Stepz Fitness Dubbo – located on the corner of the Delroy Park Shops – has all new cardio and strength equipment as well as a functional group training room.
Sam Waller, Stepz Fitness franchisor, advised, "When I started working as a personal trainer in fitness 11 years ago, the big criticism I had of the 24/7 fitness industry was that we couldn't get results and that the Community only felt with individual access. "
"I wanted to help people on a larger scale and focus on getting results, and functional training gives us that."
"The functional group training room holds classes that include cardio, high intensity, boxing, and yoga. It's a mix of mind and body.
"We have the best coaches in Dubbo, including Bodie Hennifey who has lived in Dubbo all his life.
Explain how Stepz Fitness differs from other 24/7 gyms, Waller notes: "I'm a fan of the community aspect of gyms. We work on the principle that everyone is welcome.
"We want this to be a non-intimidating, ego-free environment where people can go to a class or wight circle and then sit down at our communal table near the front desk and chat and socialize before they leave .
“We don't want Stepz Fitness to be a place where you just come and work out and go quickly. We encourage people to sit down, have a coffee, relax, and talk to other people to help it Community goes.
"We will support people with their goals, whatever they want.
"I want to make it as affordable as possible by limiting the number of members Stepz Fitness can have."
There's a base price of $ 14.95 per week for 24-hour gym access.
Functional group training is $ 24.95 per week for unlimited lessons.
If you're a government employee, Stepz Fitness accepts a fitness pass that gives you reduced fees.
The opening times are Mon – Thu 9 am to 6 pm; Fri & Sat 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Classes start at 6 a.m. with Stepz Fit, Hllt and Strong, then there are mother's classes at 9:30 a.m. and a senior course at 8:30 a.m. on Fridays. After work, classes start at 5:30 p.m.
