US prosecutors say Ghislaine Maxwell is "fully vaccinated" against COVID-19 and in good physical health as Jeffrey Epstein's former coworker and girlfriend prepare for trial for helping him facilitate his sexual abuse of girls.
In a letter to U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan in Manhattan, prosecutors allege the 59-year-old British celebrity suffered hair and weight loss while in the Brooklyn Prison, where she has been held since last July, under restrictive conditions and invasive conditions Was subjected to searches.
They say the Metropolitan Detention Center staff did not find any "noticeable hair loss", the 170-centimeter Maxwell weighed 62 kilograms last week and her lowest recorded weight of 60 kilograms was normal.
"In short, the medical staff at the MDC judge that the defendant is physically healthy," said the letter from US attorney Audrey Strauss and other prosecutors. It was not stated when Maxwell was vaccinated.
Maxwell's attorneys did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Prosecutors said Maxwell, like other inmates in Brooklyn Prison, had been subjected to regular searches and more than any inmate had up to 91 hours a week reviewing materials for the trial.
Maxwell pleaded not guilty of assisting Epstein with the recruitment, care, and sexual abuse of three girls from 1994 to 1997.
She is awaiting indictment on a March 29 indictment accusing her of sexually trafficking a fourth girl on Epstein's behalf from 2001 to 2004.
A trial is scheduled for July 12th.
Epstein, a financier, killed himself in a Manhattan prison cell in August 2019, aged 66, while awaiting prosecution on sex trafficking charges.
