Hair Loss Diet: Add fenugreek seeds in coconut oil to reduce hair loss during monsoons

Hair loss is one of the most common problems people face during monsoons. Moisture during monsoons can make your scalp oily. This will result in more head baths than usual, which can deplete your hair of its moisture. This in turn gives you dull hair, dandruff, and hair loss. Adhering to proper monsoon hair care regimen can help reduce this. There are also some nutritional tips that can target monsoon hair loss. The prominent nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar gives some more tips in one of her last Insta posts.

Hair Loss During Monsoons: How Diet Can Help

Diwekar suggests the following tips to help manage hair loss during the rainy season.

1. Fenugreek seeds

Take some warm coconut oil and add fenugreek seeds to it. Let the oil cool down. Massage it onto your scalp and leave it on overnight. You can also add fenugreek seeds to kadhi or khichdi. "Alternatively, you can use it in Tadka for vegetables like pumpkin or to flavor your raita. The Methi Dana is particularly useful when it comes to hormone-related hair loss (PCOD, etc.) as it improves the insulin response," writes Diwekar in their contribution.

2. Garden cress seeds

Also known as living seeds, these seeds can help control hair loss even if linked to chemotherapy. You can soak live seeds in milk overnight. These iron-rich seeds can also be added to coconut laddoos with a little ghee.

3. Nutmeg

A small pinch of nutmeg and some live seeds can be added to the milk. Drink it before bed. It supplies you with vitamin B6, folic acid and magnesium and thus prevents hair loss.

Other ingredients that may be helpful
