If you're looking for some motivation to be healthier in quarantine, look to Ayesha Curry for inspiration.
The presenter and wife of NBA player Stephen Curry, Food Network, made her slim and lean figure debut in an Instagram post in May that has garnered over 1 million likes since then. In a recent interview with Yahoo Canada Lifestyle, Curry explained how she lost an impressive 35 pounds during the coronavirus pandemic, which she achieved thanks in part to her partnership with Fitbit Premium.
"Fitbit Premium has proven useful through quarantine," says Curry. It was great when traveling and outside of my routine – I had access to the extensive training content in the library anytime, anywhere so I didn't go off track. It's a great resource for workouts at home and on the go. "
Curry also said in a post in July that Fitbit allowed healthy habits to be incorporated into their schedule with simple ten-minute workouts and quick, healthy recipes. “I started my fitness journey because I wanted to be strong and healthy for myself and the people who depend on me,” she says. "But it was important that I did it my way, which meant I had to train to fit into my life and NOT dissuade myself from it."
If you're just starting out, Curry suggests digging into simple fitness equipment like “two- and three-pound weights; Resistance bands; a good, comfortable mat; and a bench or chair. "She also says that careful portion control, eating nutritious green vegetables, and drinking 32 ounces of water before noon each day has helped her shed the pounds.
Best of all, she was motivated to take her husband and children on the trip. "Stephen and I rode our bikes outside, which was great," she tells Yahoo! “Even the kids will exercise sometimes! It's like summer camp with Stephen and me at home so we try to keep the kids active. "
