Canon Production Printing Australia today launches a new ColorWave and PlotWave series of printers and plotters. A total of eight new models will be released.
New printer plotter series: Canon
The series offers new built-in print security that Canon says offers high-tech security features such as: For example, secure submission to protect data and user credentials when sending files to the printer.
Canon consists of three ColorWave models (3600, 3800 and 9000) and five monochrome PlotWave models (3000, 3500, 5000, 5500 and 7500) with the latest security technology Smartshield data leaks; Authorization to restrict access to sensitive files and prevent hacking, ensuring that no one outside the company can access the printer's files.
Craig Nethercott, General Manager of Canon Production Printing Australia, says, “Whether print data is submitted, stored or authorized, Smartshield makes sure it stays secure.
“From research and development departments printing confidential prototypes to construction companies who can keep plans confidential to ensure the actual buildings remain secure, organizations need to be confident that their data is secure.
"This updated portfolio offers this security – it meets the highest security standards."
The series is designed to support and encourage creativity in all organizations at every stage of the design process – from the visualization of the ideas, through the development process, to the final designs.
From corporate workspaces to copy shops to production environments, the printers in this series are designed as sustainable, compact and ergonomic solutions that adapt to any environment while working quietly to minimize distractions. According to Canon, the user interface is easy to use and can be used by anyone, regardless of whether they are a trained operator or not.
ColorWave and PlotWave printers integrate optional finishing and scanning solutions and now offer a range of fully compatible stackers and folders. Each printer in the series can be configured to meet specific requirements and produce finished documents.
Scanning solutions for a wide range of requirements are also compatible with both series – the Scanner Express, which can be integrated for walk-in prints via the PlotWave and ColorWave printers, and the Scanner Professional, a stand-alone production scanner for maximum quality and productivity requirements, which in one or more printers can be integrated.
With the help of ClearConnect software, the printers offer an optimized workflow for each individual print job or complex document set with multiple files. By providing active operator alerts and accurate print previews, users can make the necessary corrections before they click the print and easily send prints from any location or device.
Publisher Select, part of the ClearConnect software suite, is designed to save time and accelerate the design process. It eliminates typographical errors and wasted materials with a "What you see is what you print" preview on your computer desktop. The software improves productivity and provides dual printer support for a range of Canon large format printers. It offers the option of assigning special media templates to print jobs or individual files within a print job with several files.
Martijn Fransen, Director of Strategy and Marketing for Technical Document Systems at Canon Production Printing, said, “With our long tradition in the large format printing market, Canon is committed to continuously developing innovative technologies to support and empower our customers' changing needs Print your concepts and designs in high quality the first time.
